IN TIMES OF WAR

In Times of War was formed in the summer of 2005 by five people who were ready for a new Long Island sound. Tired of bands embracing the more melodic/light hearted "Long Island Sound", In Times of War went with a harder, more abraisive appraoch, revisiting the sounds of mid 90's hardcore acts like Snapcase,108,One King Down etc.

By the winter of 2006, In Times of War had began playing around New York in support of their well received four song demo sharing the stage with the likes of Blacklisted,Verse,This is Hell,Guns Up!,The Arsons,Rise and Fall. As the bands local fanbase began to grow, their sound was slowly shifting to a faster, doomier brand of hardcore, far different from the songs on the demo.

In the summer of 2006, In Times of War had solidified their lineup and recorded two songs with Phil Douglas of Latterman for a split seven inch with friend and fellow Long Island natives,Invade. While the seven inch showcases the bands more aggressive side, the band is just beginning to show everyone their darker side.
